well if it's brand new... call up the people you bought it from, and tell them they didn't make it right.... i should think you would have some kinda of warranty???

For christmas i purchased a sony pc with xp-home. It crashed 3 times in a row out of the box. I would go with Davids advice and have the maker fix the problem.

This isnt an XP issue and its not limited to your model. This is a problem with OEM's including junkware, watering down the OS. In the future i suggest building your own PC and purchasing a real copy of the OS. If enough people adopt this attitude...eventually the OEM's will build real computers again or close down.

Now I try to find another driver.
Maybe this can help you. CU, olli.

I can't find another driver. So I disable my modem each time before I shut down my PC and enable it when I want to go online.
Not a nice procedure but better than breaking my harddisc!
