xp will not load, bsod too fast

March 25, 2011 at 18:38:18
Specs: Windows xp, n270 1.6ghz
My computer was locked up. I tried to restart but when it came back on xp would not load. I've tried safe mode, last known, etc. No matter which option when it tries to load, the xp bars go halfway and stop - then a blue screen flashes (too fast to read) and it goes right back to the "sorry, windows did not load" screen. Thanks.

Sorry, forgot to say it's a mini netbook with only 1 boot option. No cd, No floppy.
The bios does give me an option for boot to network but that doesn't seem to do anything. Thanks for the help though. Anything else I could try?

As per my first post.

Download Rescue CD (for USB stick)

"hp mini 1100"
Ok, I have done some googling & you don't need to do anymore than use one of the programs I listed.

"It sort of worked, no malware was found and linux is on my computer"

I would now run these online scans, keep in mind the badies are always ahead of the goodies, so no one program can keep up with them.

Using ESET's Online Scanner
General clean up and Prep (Do prior to any AV scans)

If you still come up clean, remove the usb drive & see if it will boot into windows.
