XP Upgrade BIOS error problem

Upgrading WIN 98 SE to XP. P3 500, 512 RAM, Ultra TNT2 Graphics. STOP error on upgrade re: "BIOS not ACPI compliant" Suggests pressing F7 at some stage but that option never arrives. MSOFT site no use re: solving problem. Any ideas?

Sounds like you need to upgrade your BIOS. Go to the motherboard's website. They should have sufficient information there to allow you to do the upgrade.
