I had 3 partitions, all NTFS, C:, F:, G:
After installing Mandrake Linux 8.1 with LILO in MBR of /dev/hda, I have lost my F: and G: NTFS partitions in Windows XP. In the disk manager, I can still see there are those partitions, but XP does not recognize them (listed as UNKNOWN PARTITIONS). I tried diskpart in XP (the partitions are listed as Hidden, system id=17). I tried fdisk in Linux, changed system id from 17 to 7 (HPFS/NTFS) of those partitions. Rebooted to Windows XP, and they are still 17 and still unrecognizable by XP. I can access those NTFS partitions from Linux after mounting them, but not from XP!!! Can anyone guide me as to how to make those partitions recognized by Windows XP?
