XP unable to hibernate & standby

Help! My XP pro doesn't want to put itself into hibernate and standby mode! It will be hung there once XP is displaying "PREPARING TO HIBERNATE" (or Standby)! So any idea with it...? I can use those functions before i formatting the HDD, but now no more! Help...

You have to install service pack 1 or download update(hotfix) for that problem. You can find the cab-installation file for example some search machine like google. There is a text System can not enter hibernate doing 3d.... (I think it was this: http://download.microsoft.com/download/whistler/Patch/Q306676/WXP/EN-US/Q306676_WXP_SP1_x86_ENU.exe)
