Hi, I have XP Home edition on a PCworld PC - preinstalled. I am buolding my own 64bit system , 2 questions :-
1. Can I transfer XP from one PC to the next (I do not have the disks - it was pre-installed)
2. I see windows xp 64 is around - any advantage here ?

1. Not legally - you have got an OEM installation of XP which is only for the machine as supplied - hence the reason that PC World & the like are able to offer cheap PCs with XP pre-installed. Plus XPHome will not make the most of your new system. Check on EBay for an OEM version of XP Pro for £80 or less. 2. Yes - If you're building a 64bit processor based system then, in theory, you need 64bit Windows to take full advantage of it.
