xp to vista upgrade

Specs: Windows XP
my pc is running xp pro all was well until i installed vista home premium upgrade sp1 disk. i had to insert my xp disk so i could delete the partition the create a new one to make it work. after the installation was complete i found that my usb huawei e22o or e160g wouldnt work i had to download "firmware" is that a form of driver? n how do you do that with no internet connection?

Firmware upgrades are upgrades to the bios in the device. That's not the same thing as a driver, similar but not the same.

To download the upgrade use a second computer and put it on a floppy disk, CD or whatever.

Most people will tell you that going from XP to Vista is actually a downgrade. Hopefully you backed up all your important documents. You should have gone with a dual boot setup...at least that way you'd have been able to easily delete once you found out what a mistake you made...lol
