I have a very simple batch file which simply moves all the files from a folder on a PC to a folder on another PC, it's a single line..
move \\recorder\d\thisweek\*.* c:\archive
I have saved this as a BAT file and a CMD file, if I run the files they perform perfectly.
I have scheduled the file to run once a day using the task scheduler. The task Scheduler says that the task is running but none of the files have been moved any ideas?
In the CMD version of the file I have added CMD to the start of the move command.
I have tried scheduling the file to run as one of the local users complete with password and also as NT AUTHORITY/SYSTEM.
The CMD.exe program appears in the task list but shows no CPU or network activity. It's like the Scheduler is starting the task but the task is not doing anything.
Any ideas gratefully received.

I've never had any luck with Windows Task Scheduler. Same issues. I just set myself a reminder in Outlook then run the batch file myself. Sorry. Maybe someone else has got it working...?
