Hello,
I hope someone can help me.When I right click the taskbar and click properties, my hide inactive icons is checked. However, when I select customize, there is a history of all the programs I have ever used (even though most of them I no longer have).Does anyone know how to delete that history? I suspect it is an access key in regedit but have no idea how to find it.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Bob,
Thanks for the reference - great site for tweaks. Unfortunately, unable to find the specific one I am looking for (went through the entire page). If anyone has any other ideas, that would be great.
Thanks.

seamus1, Go to the link below and look under the letter "I", scroll down to "Remove Past Items From the Notification Area (Line 53)" and download and run the fix.
Once done, Open Task Manager, click the Processes tab, click Explorer.exe, and then click End Process. In Task Manager, click File, click New Task, type explorer, and then click OK.

seamus1, If you're comfortable with the registry the link below has manual instructions to achieve what you want to do.

Guys,
Thanks for the references. I havent previously deleted values within the registry - only actually keys themselves (for old software). Now that I know the location (thanks tuff!), can I just delete the specific keys or will they not reload when I reboot?
Otherwise, I'll need to learn how to do it.
Thanks guys, you've been extremely helpful.

Update:
Ran the posted tweak, and it worked!!!!!!!!!
Thanks guys, appreciate it. Have a safe and happy holiday.
