please help urgently some1.
I installed SP2 on my machine and now its not booting at all.
I have a dual boot with WIN 98 as 2nd OS. this is working fine, but whenever i try to start XP, nothing happens at all. I tried using the XP CD Recovery Console, but of no use. It could not find any XP Installations on my machine.
I did BOOTCFG /SCAN and it said "Corrupt file system". i did CHKDSK but no problem was found. please help how to fix this "Corrupt file system"

Thanks

Check Microsofts' homepage. They explain how to remove the installation of SP2.

I had the same problem, i was lucky and had everything backed up so I used my recovery disk to get things back to normal. I called windows and they said they could not do anything about it becuase my system could not boot at all. hopefully you can find a way around what I had to do. good luck
