Reply: (edit)I'm downloading Windows XP SP3 (Build 3180) now, which I believe is a Pre Beta. Don't think I'll be installing it though, an updated SP2 should be sufficient.

Reply: (edit)I may try it on another machine to see what happens. Sure don't want to screw up my main machine fooling around. I dunno, curious, something new to try, who knows.

Reply: (edit)Guess what M$ did while we slept? They quitely RTMed XP Pro SP2C - yeah Service Pack 2C - for the system builders. There's no rollup fix. This SP2C fix the shortage of XP Product Keys. M$ found it necessary to produce more product keys for system builders in order to support the continued availability of XP Pro through the scheduled system builder channel end-of-life (EOL) date of January 31, 2009. i_Xp/VistaUser
