XP SP2 and Printer sharing

I have one computer with printer connected to it directly (Parallel). The printer is being shared to every computer in the domain.
Right after I installed Windows XP Service Pack 2 on the computer, where the printer is connected, I can no longer share the printer. I can see the computer on the domain but can no longer access it. I can no longer ping the computer as well.
I also have Symantec Client Firewall installed on the machine. I tried turning off both firewalls (XP SP2 and Symantec) and I still can't share the printer.

On the computer with SP2, try re-establishing the printer sharing protocol. IE- Do it over again. I had this problem myself and doing the printer sharing procedure over again solved it. Also confirm that you don't have both firewalls on simultaneously. It's not a good idea to have more then one software firewall running because it may result in false negatives being reported. I assume you have a router, which is a hardware firewall. That combined with the software is plenty.
