Try doing a search on Driverguide.com, there is a tool on there to scan your system for required or missing drivers, download that and do a system scan, should show up the driver on there and where to get it.

90% of the time, Ifyou do Windows updates. Choose Custom Updates, then look in the drivers sections of the left, you'll find the xp sound driver.
Summary: after installing xp windows on thinkpad 600 the sound driver does not work, delete and reinstall then it works till you turn off , turn bak on and back to square one ?? any answers ...
