A friend has installed Photo Elements I on his IBM OS95 laptop with no problem; but it will not install on his new HP XP Home laptop. He asked me for help that I cannot give; so I ask this forum. Thanks

Two possiblities:
The first PC is named IBM OS95, does this mean it's Windows95? If so then the software may not run at all on XP, you'll have to get the latest version.
Secondly, if the software came bundled with the PC, it may detect the PC it's being installed on the see if it an IBM. It may be designed to run only on an IBM.
