I just formatted my hard drive and installed XP Pro again after fitting a Athlon 2400+. Now after you turn it on it goes through all the checks as normal super fast but then after the post screen I get a black screen for around 45 seconds before the black screen with Windows XP loading starts in as normal. It does this every time I start my PC and seems to hang on this blank black screen for the same time every time.. Does anyone have any ideas why it's doing this when it never used to with my old cpu.. and is there a way to fix the problem. Thanks.
