xp shut down problems

CPU/Ram: 192
Comment:

After an upgrade from 98 to XP and after XP critical updates, My machine starts up immeadately after shut down. Have to shut down manually. Any advise?

Right click My Computer,
Properties,
Advanced tab,
Settings button (Starup and Recovery),
uncheck Automatically Restart.

Now you should get an error message when it happens again.
