As the tittle says, when I check in bios it says that I've got 2 GB ram, but when I boot up xp and check it says that I've just got 1,75 gb. I've checked with different programs (such as everest) and they all say that I've got 1,75 GB ram.
My ram consists of two 1 GB memorys. I removed one and bootet, then in both bios and xp said that I had 1 GB of ram, which is correct. I then put the other one back and booted. Bios now said that I had 2 GB ram, but xp said that I had 1,75
It is not a hardware issue since bios shows the correct amount of ram.
This problem arose a week ago, when I overclocked my cpu. I've clocked down the cpu, but it didn't solve the problem.

Try swapping the single sticks of RAM. Use the one you removed last time as the ONLY stick and see what reading you get then. Place that stick in the first slot.

You can check your RAM with Memtest. Do it with one stick at a time, and then together.

There is a version to create a bootable floppy diskette and/or an ISO for creating a CD.

My graphics cards are
2x geforce 7950gx2 in sliI've run the memory test as advised.
I ran the standard test with one pass, and it found no error. It also showed that I had 2045 MB ram
I then went in and configured a bit. I changed the memory sizing to BIOS - All, I then got the following screen and it all froze.
http://dasse.mine.nu/img/BOIS-all.jpgI restarted the computer and tried another memory sizing, Probe. Nearly the same thing happened this time, I got this screen and it all froze. http://dasse.mine.nu/img/probe.jpg
But when I ran the standard test no error were encountered.

Below are excerpts from memtest86+ FAQ.
When I select BIOS-ALL I get many errors / my machine crashes.
This is normal. With today’s computers this option should never be selected. See the previous question about the reason for the errors.
Memtest freezes or my system reboots when running memtest.
Check that you have USB legacy support disabled in your BIOS setup. Some BIOS’s had a bug in them which causes memtest to write over the memory area used by the USB legacy support resulting in freezes or reboots.
