Xp sharing problem!!!

hi i have a problem...in the fat32 partition..i don't see the condivision properties of hd or folder...
i can't set sharing access for lan...
how this?

I think you'll have to change the drive to NTFS to do that either by formating the drive (which is better) or to convert the drive in dos (which is a little dangerous)

theres nothing dangerous about changing to ntfs in command prompt !... i do it all the time .. everythings fine .. u can trust the old and GOOD dos .

Go help and search for convert to ntfs and you can do it from xp.

Are you trying to get people to have to log in to share files over a network? If so you have to turn off simple file sharing in the folder options. Then you will have more advanced sharing options when you right click a drive or folder and press properties.

when i right click a drive or folder fat or ntfs and press properties.i don't have sharing options!
