Comment:

When I start up windows xp home on my computer, a pop-up come up and states, "Please go to the control panel to install and configure system components." Once I click ok everything works fine. There is nothing to install or configure in system components. This happened after using Registry First Aid, quite a while ago, changes were not backed up :-( Any help to remove the pop-up would be appreciated.

Go to Start | Run: msconfig | OK
In the System Configuration Utility press Startup tab.
Look for anything that relates to your problem and uncheck the item.
Confirm the change and then restart your PC to see if the message is gone.
