I used BLKVIPER guidelines and dsabled all uneeded services but still have 30 or so running most of the time. Is this normal?? I also read an MS page that said to go to Run>cmd>tasklist /svc to see what svchost.exe was actualy running, but error tasklist not valid command?? What gives??

That sounds like a lot of servies, 30. Check them again, as I run less than 20. I'd make sure each one is in fact necesary. You can use the MANUAL setting too. BlackViper is a good start. The command is: tasklist/svc there is no space in there.

I run 60 services, I don't any have any slowdowns ( I have a lot of programs running ) or any problems, don't worry about it, as long as you running under 40 processes your fine :-)

zero cool (nice theft of a name from a bad movie btw) 60 services is ridiculous. Any more than 24 to 28 on a non-server is a complete waste of resources.
