Hi - Something strange is happening when I use the XP Search engine.

If I select the All Files and Folders option it almost immediately invokes Windows Installer and tries to install MS Office even though it is already installed.

Chosing any other option in the XP Search Engine such as Pictures , Music, Documents etc performs correctly and does not invoke Windows Installer.

I am free of any Virus, Trojans and Adware.

Any help to correct this strange occurance would be very much appreciated.

Thanks Peter

Open the Add and Remove Software window and select MS Office. Do a repair when asked.

You may also want to open an Outlook window and choose Detect and Repair.

repost results!
