Hi,
This morning I ran Windows Update at work & installed various patches & updates available for WinXP.
Installation went OK however there is now an issue on the Display Properties Window, Screen Saver tab.
The checkbox & the "On resume, password protect" are both greyed out (whereas they were active & operative before I installed the updates).
The password box has a checkmark in it, even though it's greyed out. But the real problem is that it doesn't ask for my screen saver password anymore - it just lets you right in. Not secure, not good.

Thanks for the link. I checked out the Release Notes but unfortunately they don't really address what happened to me today.
The notes say that you won't be asked for a password if you activate your screen saver manually.
However, now that I've installed the updates it doesn't ask me for a password AT ALL anymore, even if XP activates the screen saver after a period of inactivity. Hmm.
