xp restarting at shutdown

Comment: every time I shut down xp it goes to turn off the computer then resets and starts windows again. I heard easy cd creator can cause problems but I don't even have a burner. Whats up???

Reply: (edit)Go here and see if it helps, http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q320299 This is caused by windows crashing as it is shutting down. That page will tell you have to stop your pc from rebooting and instead show you an error message. Post a new message with that error and maybe someone can help out. Sandman
