xp restart during game

I just got a new system, no problems. Upgraded video card to a Radeon 9000 64mb video card -seemed to run great. Loaded "comanche 4" game and now during intense graphics then whole system just shuts down and restarts. Besides just getting rid of the game, any idea what I should do?

Try updating to the newest DirectX, and also check your Motherbaord's website for any bios updates, and make sure all your drivers are up to date. Small things you wouldnt think would have much to do with gameplay sometimes end up interfering with the rest of the system

try updating your graphics card drivers to the newes. also i didnt find commanche to be a very stable game. it usually slowed down or crashed on me too
