Hi
WE have a XP Pro client machine which resets when we try to login, as soon as we press control Alt Delete and start typing in the user name, it resets, I have check and scan for virus etc. and re-installed the network card etc. ALso it can't go into Safe mode, it resets when it's loading.
It happened about 10-20 times when I login, then it's ok after that.
The machine was infected with a virus which I have clean but I think it must of damaged windows. IS there a system files checker for XP as I think the system restore is too late to do now.

Why are you doing Ctrl>Alt>Del to sign in for?
If you have the XP install disc and not a restore disc then you can go to start>run and type "SFC /scannow" without the "" and notice the space. It will repair all the system files without harming any of your work.
