I had a problem with a boot up error
i have that resolved, i get a ton of dll errors. how do i repair XP?.. install the system files, WITHOUT OVER WRITING 'MY DOCUMENTS' FOLDER.

U can try start the setup and during setup it will ask u press enter to start instalation or press R to repair. its will put u in the console, then I dont know what to do. so what I've done is I pressed ENTER (not R) and then next time it asked I pressed R, so in that case setup will just rewrite the system files.
if this wont help, u can try backup your files: start->programs->accesories->files and settings transfer wizard (if u use windows XP default theme then it's just in start menu.) after u back up u can do clear install.
