Xp reformatting

My cpu has become screwy and has multiple problems. i want to reformat the hard drive, and then run windows 98 os. how do i reformat?

www.bootdisk.com
download a win98 system floppy.
boot to a:
a:\fdisk
in there remove all partiitons and reboot back to a:
open, say yes to lba
reset the c; partition and make it active.
then format,
a:\format c:/s [note the forward slash]

reboot, choose cdrom support,
e:\setup
presto

you will also have to download delpart to get rid of the NTFS partion if you want to go back to 98

there is nothing on the windows 98 boot disk that will get rid of the NTFS partion you have to use delpart it's a easy program to use

Use fdisk. It is on the Win98 boot disk. Works well for removing NTFS partitions.
