Hi,
My PC restarts after exiting a game, then i disabled the restart option on XP, and now it shows a Blue Screen thats says:DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
STOP: 0x000000D1 (0xF9716E18, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0xF9716E18)
ALCXWDM.SYS - Address F9176E18 base at F96E3000, Datestamp 3b55557fc

This happens with just one game? If it only happens with one game I would reinstall the game. If it still happens I would remove the game from my PC altogether.
What game is it?

It happens in almost every game...
GTA3, Duke Nukem Manhattan Project, Warcraft 3, etc, etc...
Can someone help me?? I'm going bezerk... lolSee Ya...

The following link is to a thread pertaining to the DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error. I also ran a check for ALCXWDM.SYS and both appear to be a result of your sound card drivers. Try to rollback your drivers, if you recently updated them, or try to update them to the latest version. Else, try disabling the device in device manager and see if you get that error anymore. If you have to disable, of course, you won't be able to get sound while gaming; but, at least you will know what the problem was.

Else, you can try this, but I doubt this is your problem...Right mouse on desktop. Choose Properties. Click on the Settings tab. Click on the Advanced button. On the General tab of the window that loads, select "Apply the new display settings without restarting."
If this is your problem, you are gaming at a different resolution than what is being used by your OS.
Good luck.

I'll try that, i believe that maybe thats it...
I hope so. I'm thinking of buying a Surround Sound Card anyway...
Thanx and a BIG hello from Portugal - Europe
;)
