I installed a new Radeon 9600PRO 256mb in my A7V266-E mobo with 250 watt PSU. Ever since I have had, every three days or so, random shutdowns with an error message saying that a Windows32/system/config file is corrupt. I can usually get it going with the recovery console, but lately even this has not been accessible and I have had to format and reinstall XP. Is it that my PSU is underpowered? Is it a HDD problem? Could it be a virus of some kind (I've been plagued with Backdoor bots recently)? Or is it that my new graphics card is simply incompatible with the mobo? Any advice gratefully accepted!
