I don't know if this is a bug,but I tried many things to correct it,and it doesn't work. When the music is playing on my machine, whether from a cd or from an .mp3 list (using either the Media Player or a Real Player),the screensaver doesn't come up.Nothing changes on the screen, but for some reason,it does not want to come up.
Does anyone know anything about this? Thanks.

Screensaver is only active when you are not running any programs. When media player or real player are active windows interprets this that you are running a program. Naturally screensaver will not run. You can check this by running or streaming music or video to media player and then stop the process by activating stop without closing the application. The screensave will now activate after the time you have previously set up.

This is what Ms calls a feature not a bug. Why don't you just put the visualization on full screen, That has the same funtion as a screensaver, or just manually turn of your moniter.

Or go into tools-> options -> and there is a check box that will allow you to use the screensaver while playing stuff in WMP

sounds like you need "power toys for windows xp--video screensaver and wallpaper changer"

it's pretty neat if you like messing around with wallpapers and customizing your own screensaver with whatever music you want.
