Is it possible to change the XP product key without a keycode changer? Im just curious about this and wish i knew how.

It's easy with Win ME in the registry.
START - RUN - type REGEDIT - OK - EDIT - FIND -type PRODUCTKEY - FIND NEXT.
Right click productkey and select MODIFY - change the number and select OK.I have not tried this on XP.

I have just tried the above on XP and it does not work. I didn't think it would be that simple. I have also searched the registry for my CD Key and it came up negative. The key is listed in the system as you can see it using AIDA32 but it is not accessible to change.

Change Product Key without Reinstall:
1. Run regedit and go to: HKey_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft
\WindowsNT\Current Version\WPAEvents, on the right double click on
"oobetimer" and change at least one digit of this value to deactivate
windows.2. Choose run from start menu and type in this command:
%systemroot%\system32\oobe\msoobe.exe /a to get the activation screen
and go to the second option which is activate by phone.3. In the new screen choose the option to change product key, and type
in the new product key4. Close that window, reboot your system and enter the command in step 2
for the second time to verify your activation , you should see "windows
is already activated".Hope this helps ^_^

That's a popular solution i have heard or read but i did try over and over, as a result, nothing changed after those manipulations. Thank you,
