XP Pro will only start in safe mode

Windows XP Pro SP2 included not updated. Pentium 4. 640 met HT technologie, 3.2 Ghz, 1024mb, 2x160GB HD's ATI Radeon X740XL. I can only start in safe mode. Saw in another post these suggestions and followed them up. I deselected all programs uitgeschakeld through MSCFG. The problem persists Then I tried the second sugestion. 4. Find the folder labeled [boot]. That folder is not there!!! I have 6 folders ;for 16bit app support drivers md driver32 386enh network Any ideas? Run XP repair: http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm Then check for spyware and virus using online checkers....
