which one is better to have? what are the features in Open License Academic Edition?

The academic edition is identical in composition. It is a way that MSoft allows a qualified student or educator to purchase a full copy of WinXP at a lesser price.

There are certain restriction spelled out in the EULA concerning the use.

Proof that the buyer is eligible is required. This proof comes from the learning institution. Won't be sold without that proof.
