I recently reformatted my hard disk and installed XP Pro. Now when i try to shuttdown my PC it reboots. When I try to shuttdown again right after it shutts down but for a short time, after which the PC turns on by itself. I checked in System Properties and Automatic Recovery is off. Now I have to unplug my PC for the night. Please help.
If you unchecked Automatically Restart, the open Event Viewer, look for problem in System Log. Then come back and report word for word what the error is.
