Specs: Windows XP
How do computer builders install OEM XP Pro without activating or typing in users name until they sell the computer, it could take a while till that happens, then when someone buys it they type in their name and have 30 days to activate?

OEM activation is done locally based on the hardware it is running on. The manufacture know exactly what hardware the OS will be running on because they made both the hardware and the installation disk.

If you sell a computer with an OEM installation on it, the installation and the licence and any disks should go with it. Selling an OEM computer does not invalidate the activation.

I don't understand what you mean by typing in a User name. Users names have nothing to do with activation and there is no limit to how many users can use a single installation.

A manufacturer makes a sample installation with special software from MS and includes drivers specific to the model series and other programs that they are including. Then this is copied as a disk image to your hard drive. They test the hardware without accessing the hard drive and you are the first to actually fire up windows when you turn it on. If you were building truely custom computers, you would have to do the complete install one computer at a time.
