I have a problem I just opened my PC to turn around my IDE cable to my cd burner that I had installed. Once I fliped the cable and tried to boot back up my monitor will not show anything it dosn't even come on there is power to it. I then went back in and fliped the same cable back around thinking that might have caused the error. But still I don't get any signal from the monitor i have tried unpluging it even from the power supply in the wall. I a friend of mine just informed me that he has the same situtation right now with his PC I was wondering if anyone had any advice because the computer worked fine before I opened it up to check the IDE cable. Any suggestions are appricated.

Souns like you knocked something by accident.
Open up the pc and remove the graphics card, then put it back in again and check it is secure.
That will do it

hello : check for cables you bumped and cables connected tight to m/b.
please if i may dare to ask , use standard
terms in describeing the action you took (what does turn around the ide cable mean??)
ide primary port pin one is pin one for both devices, the same as ide secondary port. did you make sure that both ide devices are master and slave or bot cable select if you have the wrong combo, no booot
