Got Windows XP pro and I think is very slow if u compare with Windows 98 and even Windows 3.1...Got a P4 1.5 with 512 Mb, should be fast I belive.
The only two things I like with XP is the image handeling and the colours!
Any speed up suggestions adn advices?

well you need to explain what you're trying to do, how your system is set up, etc.

It should be fast on your computer, so you probably have something wrong.

You need to be more descriptive

The best thing to do in XP is kill all of the non-needed services. This site (click here) is great and was totally accurate also. Don't be a fool though, it it is label as a "no,no" then don't disable that service. You have to scroll down once you get there to get to the good stuff. :-) Enjoy!

With time and use, your computer can become a bit disorganized. As the info stored in your computer gets used, moved, copied, added to, or deleted, the computer's drives can become cluttered with useless or inefficiently organized files. Deframentation speeds up disk performance.

Right-click on the desired drive in My Computer->Properties->Tools tab->Defragment Now button.

Windows XP usually runs crappy until I get the drivers for my video card installed. Is yours functioning properly and is it fairly recent?
