Hi,
I have a problem with the ICS host not giving out DHCP addresses. My XP machine has a DSL modem connected to it. I enabled ICS and plugged a client machine into the spare ethernet port on the XP machine. Everything worked! The client machine was able to access the net. I think decided to share a drive. In the properties tab there was no option for sharing but there was a link to run a wizard. The sharing wizard exited with an error. My client dropped off the network but now there was a tab for sharing on the drive i was trying to share.
The problem now is that the client can not get an IP address of the XP machine. I have disabled and re-enabled ICS many times with no joy. If I set an IP manually on the client i can ming the ICS host but internet won't work ???? No matter what I try the client machine now won't get a DHCP address from the ICS host.

Did you restart your pc's. Turn them both off and then start ics computer first. If that doesn't work try giving client machine an address of 192.168.0.3-192.168.0.254 and a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 and restart the client machine.
