XP Pro chkdsk and USB devices

OS: XP Pro SP1
CPU/Ram: 1600Mhz/512MB

When ever I run chkdsk c: /f it has to reboot and I let it, then after it runs upon rebooting usb mouse won't work. It happenes on two of my computers but not the third. The two computers are both nforce2 boards.
