Ok i have xp pro installed on a ntfc drive. I have recentally downloaded redhat 7.3. Is it possible to install redhat on a ntfc drive so I dont have to reformat? I have alot of files I dont want to loose. Please walk me through the 1st few steps if it is possible to have them both, maybe through a partition or something. When I partition a hard-drive I wont loose my files will I?

RedHat has a good manual that explains how install Linux on a NT based system...it is tricky. I would recommend backup your data and get your drive FAT 32 formatted and partitioned in two. An expensive alternative would be to get another HD and an IDE Selector (you push a button to boot up from any of up to three HDs). If you use Partition Magic to partition your hard drive you won't loose any data.
