OK so I just upgraded from WinMe to WinXP Pro. Everything seemed to be in order until a message came up, "To optimize something-or-other, Windows will adjust your screen." wheras my monitor went all funky with a bunch of colors and stayed there. Help!

OK I booted into safe mode but I didn't see where to change resolution to diff, so I just tried a lower refresh rate.

...which hasn't worked either. So now its in safe mode running 1024x768 and doing great. Only problem is that I'm almost scared to reboot now since I fear it'll do the same thing.
