XP Pro & WinMe file sharing...

Prob with file sharing between Xp Pro & WinMe : XP can't get WinMe's shared folders - the winme is present on the network - the share folders are visible but can't get in... WinMe after a long time get the Xp's files shared in default shared folder !! What's the solution ??!!??

Try these couple things: 1. XP, stop the "Computer Browser" service and put it on manual, then go in the TCP properties and enable netbios over TCP, reboot once. 2. WinME, network properties > file and printer sharing properties > set the Browser on automatic if its not already, reboot if applys. ps this works for me cause the winme's printer share was very slow at detecting, now its quick from XP.
