hi all. new to xp and i've got a couple of questions: 1. each time i send/receive mail on outlook, i'm asked for my internet pasword, despite the fact that on numerous occassions i have ticked "remember password". what am i missing/not doing? 2. how do i turn on, and once on, access system restore? many thanks for any help
Try deleting your outlook express email account with your isp by using tools>accounts(remove then add). Then reestablish your account by using your password.
I am not sure what you mean by access to system restore. You can set the slider to the default 12% or select another percentage if you have a large hard drive to say 4%. You can check and select system restore, but there really is no program access for system restore. System restore is found under properties of My Computer, or by using programs>accessories>system tools>system restore. Many people do not use system restore as it is where a virus/worm/trojan hide and generally one must turn off system restore and the computer be restarted to remove an infection. It does use some system resources and some people turn it off for that reason.
