Hi,
I can't boot XP in normal mode anymore. Safe mode however works fine.
The problem started after removing the GRUB dual bootloader.
Here are the steps that I followed in order to remove it:
1. start repair console of Windows XP
2. use fixboot command
3. use fixmbr command
4. exitAfter this, the system did a reboot and it boots up normally, I do see the Initial Windows XP screen, but then the screen turns black, the mouse icon is shown and the PC hangs here forever.
After reset, I tried booting in safe mode and this works fine.
What can be the problem here?
Regards,
Gert.

Start up your computer. When you are logged on go to run and type in msconfig. Go to the BOOT.INI tab. Make sure all the boot options are unchecked. Then restart you computer.
