I installed xp on my c drive, as I was doing this, my computer froze. I then rebooted and I don't know how, but it ended up installing on my d drive. I have xp on both drives now, but d drive isn't large enough. I can't do anything with it because it doesn't have enough memory. I want to get it off d drive, but it won't let me formatt it. Help!

Have you tried downloading the Windows XP boot disk from Microsoft.com? It is one file that extracts and installs onto 6 floppy disks. Take the first disk and put it in the floppy drive and reboot. When it is finished loading all 6 disks into memory, it will ask if you want to go into setup or Recovery Console. Go to the Recovery Console, and at the prompt, type FORMAT D: /FS:NTFS. That should format your D: drive with the NTFS system. You can do the same with your C: drive if you like. Post back any questions, problems, or results.
Thanks

Get hold of a win98 or ME bootdisk with Fdisk and Format. If your drives are NTFS then use Fdisk to delete non-dos partitions first then just boot to your XP CD It has all the necessary files to setup, partition and format your drives again as NTFS if that's what you want. If you are using FAT32 then no need to use Fdisk. Just format the drives using the 98 bootdisk then boot to XP CD and install.
