Will Windows XP run on a Pentium MMX 200 or 233 with 128 MB of RAM?

and click on XP Readiness in the left margin.

But still, on a system like that, well just don't expect too much from it.

it should work fine just get it some memory and turn off all the extra services.

I know it will run on the 233 but it is gonna be butt ass slow with only 128megs of memory.

A better choice might be to use Windows 2000 Professional. I have run this OS very well on 200mhz class machines with as little as 96mb of RAM. Runs a treat. You would get exceptional stability with a very similar user interface to XP, and the overall performance is about as good as w98 on your slower machine.

When I first installed Win XP on a 128 ram, it was very very slow & I had a lot of problems. However, now with a 256 ram the OS is working great :)
