I am trying to set up a wireless usb on my xp system. However, when I plug in the usb card it does not automatically see it. Tried to add new hardware but still did not see it. Never comes up in device manager. Does anyone know what problem can be?

had the same problem. tried everything, nothing worked, windows never recognised it. and you know what the problem was? I haven't plugged in the cable properly - try to apply a little more pressure, when plugging the cable into the device. after I applied more pressure sticking the cable into the usb wireless device, the connection suddenly established and windows has finally recognised it.
