Follow up to earlier posting... XP Pro dosent see an attached USB drive, it shows up on toolbar when USB is connected, but the icon dosent show up in My Computer or Windows Explorer, I have a bunch of files that I had backed up from the previous instal of ME and would like to be able to get them.

See the little search option, top right? type "not recognising usb drive" in it and search. You'll find a solution.
