Comment:
I instatlled Gear Pro for recording. I did not like it so uninstalled it. Now, XP does not recognize the cd and dvd players. I get the following message. Windows successfully loaded the device driver for this hardware but cannot find the hardware device. (Code 41) I reinstalled the drivers, but it still does not recognize the players. What am I doing wrong?

Try this. If you are comfortable editing the registry: Create a Restore point and back up the registry.Open regedit. Look for;
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\system\CurrentControlSet\SetControlClass. Key name: {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} Value Data:[Delete all value data from upper and lower filters] Note-Do not delete the key or the multi-string values. Delete only the data values. Exit regedit and reboot.
