I just purchased a Fujifilm finepix 2600zoom digital camera and cannot get XP to find it. It uses a USB interface and I have downloaded the XP updated software from the fujifilm website. I have tried to install both the camera driver and the mass-storage driver manually but I don't know the filenames as the software is downloaded in a single update file. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It may not entirely be XP's fault. I had a computer where I too attached a camera and no matter how many drivers I installed it would not find it. It turned out to be my motherboard and I had to go to the motherboard web site and load their new bios. Windows instantly found my camera after that.

I've just installed a finepx 2400 zoom. I had to use the 2800 drivers (I remember reading this somewhere but can't remember where). At first it didn't appear to work. I log onto an NT domain via my WinXP machine. It turns out that you need to log onto the machine as a local administrator before installing (and running) the software. It all works ok now.

Go to add camera or scanning device. XP have a lot of camera drivers , worked for me, didn't need any additional drivers.
